"Snake Wall" - Grace Park

As a compliment to “the snakes in the grass”, a linear, snake mural will run along the surrounding wall. Upon closer inspection the pattern will reveal handmade ceramic and glass tile providing additional information about the park site with a short history of Grace Wiley and information about reptiles. The mural will provide an opportunity for me to lead a workshop at the local school where children can create tiles for the mural. The workshop will provide several opportunities for learning: through creating art, through the discovery of snakes as symbols in art, as well as through the study of reptiles and their role in our environment.
