Pops Davenport Park
Previous"Snake Wall" - Grace Park TopiariesNext

The pocket park is named for Corporal Ed Pops Davenport, a distinguished Long Beach Police Officer, this photomural will honor his 40-year career and celebrate the positive difference he made in the city of Long Beach. The mural will be composed of individual panels of porcelain enamel on steel. Porcelain Enamel is an excellent material chosen for its life long fade resistance and structural capabilities. The installation will use a mix of duotones — historical black and white photographs from the area along with portraits of contemporary youth in the community. By showing the era in which Davenport was a dedicated public servant, one can see his legacy reflected in the happy and hope filled faces of today’s youth.
