At first glance, the viewer sees only a beautiful panoramic photo of Nebraska's prairie landscape. On further inspection the image is made up of many smaller pictures. In this case the smaller pictures are individual photos of veterans. By representing as many veterans as possible, we remember the individuals who through their duty and sacrifice kept us safe here at home.

Community Involvement
My primary focus will be to first collect photographs of residents of the Veteran’s Home. The photographs can be official military portraits or they can be more candid photographs. I would also expand the project to include additional veterans using past archival photos all the way through to current enlisted personnel. I will seek involvement from individuals and families along with the Veterans Administration and use local media and various organizations to solicit response. My goal is to include and honor as many veterans from Nebraska as possible.

Email will be the primary and favored means for gathering images. By involving the community in creation of this artwork it provides additional opportunities to recognize not only the veterans but also the ENVH care facility and its full line of medical services.
