| | | | | | Created with pieces of pottery and glass recovered from the Nelson family home, which was destroyed in the terrible fires that swept through San Diego County in the fall of 2003. The four panels represent the four members of the family with the layered ribbons of material representing the shared memories of the four yet each panel retains it's own individuality. The textured metal bands link the individual panels and convey the strength and closeness of this family and their resilience through their loss. | |
